Very few countries have multiple successful female tennis players in the top 100. The Czech Republic is unique in this area. How is it possible that a country of 10 million can produce so many phenomenal tennis players? There are currently 9 players in the top 100 of the WTA rankings (November 2023). Seems like we are doing something right. You will learn a lot about all aspects of tennis with us!

Head Coaches


Daniel Velek

Co-Founder, Head Coach

Daniel is a current NCAA D1 College tennis player who proudly represents the Bobcat Family at Quinnipiac University and is pursuing a master's degree in Business Analytics. Daniel is an alumnus of the University of California, Riverside, where he represented the Highlanders for four years and earned a B.A. in Business Administration.

Daniel comes from the Czech Republic. He is a certified Czech Tennis Association and is getting certified as a USPTA professional coach, having worked with players of all categories and levels in multiple countries around the world. He has rich experience running summer tennis camps in Europe.

Daniel has represented the Czech Republic as a National U16 Tennis Team member at the Junior Davis Cup in Madrid, where he has competed against players such as Denis Shapovalov or Felix-Auger Alliasime.

Off the court, Daniel loves to read, travel and explore new coffee shops wherever he goes. With his rich tennis portfolio, Daniel brings a wealth of experience, quality and drive to our team.

David Solar

Co-Founder, Head Coach

David is a former NCAA DII college tennis player at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He coached at the BCPD Tennis Academy in Ann Arbor, MI, working with players of all ages. He also traveled with players to tournaments.

David earned a B.S. in Biochemistry while representing his university in tennis and then earned an M.A. in Chemistry while coaching.

David comes from Prague, Czech Republic. Off the court, he loves to read, meditate, and go into nature. One of his greatest passions is travelling. Having travelled, played tennis and interacted with people in many countries, he brings experience and a holistic approach to our team, emphasising both technical and mental aspects of tennis and life

Ota Fukarek

Coach/Speaker

Ota Fukarek is a former professional ATP player. He reached the highest ATP ranking of 101 in singles and 58 in doubles. He won a combined total of 19 ATP Challenger tournaments. His biggest achievements include reaching the round of 16 at the French and Australian Open. He has experience playing against players such as Roger Federer, Marat Safin, James Blake, and the Bryan brothers. Ota defeated players like Guillermo Coria during his career.

Playing in all four Grand Slam tournaments, he brings a wealth of experience to our team. After his professional career, Ota has been a tennis coach for young talents for more than 20 years.

Jeremy Muller

Coach

Jeremy Muller is a current NCAA D1 Assistant Coach for the women's and men's teams at UC Riverside. Furthermore, he is a coach at the Racquet Club of Irvine, working with players of various categories and levels.

Jeremy comes from Italy and played NCAA DI tennis, representing Eastern Washington University, where he earned a B.S. in Biochemistry. He then pursued an M.S. at UC Riverside while volunteering as an assistant coach for both the women's and men's teams. Thanks to his stellar performance, he was offered the Assistant Coach position.

Beyond the court, one of Jeremy's greatest passions is traveling. He has visited many countries worldwide, adding more experience to his rich portfolio.

Jeremy brings to our team expertise from not only college tennis but also all levels of tennis, which goes hand-in-hand with his rich travel experiences.

Vendula Redlichova Zovincova

Tennis Coach, Mental Coach & Sport Psychologist

Vendula is a former professional tennis player. Her highest WTA ranking was 564, and she gained valuable experience playing in ITF tournaments. After her professional tennis career, she shifted her focus to studying psychology. She continued her studies and is now an internal PhD student at the Department of Social Science Basis in Kinanthropology at the Charles University – Faculty of Physical Education and Sport.

Currently, she works as a sports psychologist in youth sports teams (AC Sparta Praha, Czech Yacht Club), and lectures at Newton University in Prague in the MSc. Mental Coaching in Sport and Business about psychological aspects of cooperation with clients. She is also involved at Charles University – Faculty of Physical Education in teaching Social Psychology and Social Skills Development

Most often, she works with teenage athletes, parents, and coaches and provides workshops on the basics of psychological training.

She is the co-author of the Car Coaching handbook for parents.  She has completed five years of self-experiential psychotherapeutic training in psychodynamic direction. Her vision is to improve the view of psychological needs in sports and the importance of psychological preparation and mental health.

In her free time, she enjoys being with her family and friends. Her dog plays a crucial role in her daily mental well-being. She enjoys gaining experience through travelling. Additionally, she is a passionate fan of ice hockey games.

Michael Herman

Coach

Michael is a current NCAA DI graduate assistant coach at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Coming from a family full of tennis coaches, he grew up in Prague, Czech Republic, playing mainly at the Hamr and Spoje tennis clubs.

After high school, he decided to move to the United States to pursue a Business degree and play NCAA collegiate tennis at Goucher College in Maryland. After graduating, Michael decided to accept a position as the Assistant Tennis Coach for Washington College in Maryland, where he coached both the Men's and Women's teams. In the spring of 2022, he was promoted to Head Coach of the tennis program. Coach Mike is currently the Graduate Assistant for the Men's tennis team at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.

His coaching philosophy is centred around the idea of embracing adversity and training to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. Tennis prepares you for life. You have to be ready for whatever comes your way and learn how to handle it the best way you can. Michael brings passion, experience, and expertise to our team. In his free time, he loves to play table tennis and do anything related to tennis!

Kamil Polak

Mental coach of Czech Tennis Players and Olympic Athletes

Kamil is a former special force member, currently working for the Czech Ministry of Interior overseeing the preparation of special force members. He is also a ¨¨¨mental coach and mentor for leading Czech athletes. Amongst many Czech Olympians, Kamil is currently working with Tomas Machac (ATP 74). Petra Dvorakova and Denisa Dvorakova are our massage therapists and yoga instructors. They has multiple years of experience with instructing yoga and serving as a massage therapists.
